Remember my name......

Well, what a day I had yesterday! A brilliant one in fact ! No moaning for a change.

Took Son to his football course at the local park. Mate was picking him up afterwards with her own boy. So after a leisurely cappacino walking round the park, got home, did handwashing - do not get that Kath Kidson detergent stuff for delicate fabrics - £ 6.00 and its a load of shit! Mind you, it looks bloody nice sitting there on the draining board with the decorative bottle and everything - sort out Daughter's room while listening Alan Ayckbourn's play Man of the Moment on i-player.

Stroll up to that brilliant cafe by Strawberry Hill for a slap up feast of Thai stir fry with pork and cashew nuts (£5.95 including drink), read my Woman's Weekly Fiction Special, stroll back with fag in time for the Archers.

Sort out more stuff. Have a cuddle with the cat. Phone goes at 10 to 6. Its Son. Mummy, can i stay for a sleepover? Bless him, of course he could. I don't know how parents can do that. I mean an afternoon of a child coming to play is one thing..........You think they'd be desperate to get rid of 'em at bloody 6 o'clock.

Childless night of supper with Husband (Daughter is away in Sussex) and watching the channel 5 documentary on Dr Crippen. What bliss! I dare any reader to top that one.

Of course this is where i start paying in sweat as they used to say in Fame (so much better than that High School musical) because i've got the little buggers this afternoon. And are they gonna be in a good mood after a sleepless football fueled night (Chelsea won thank God). So a quick trip to Hounslow then i'll pay my dues.

Wow, it's such a bonus when you become child free by accident!! Glad you enjoyed it, I wish I lived nearer, would have loved to have joined you for lunch. (do you think Chalky's going to do something dreadful to Lilian?!)

PS, High school unmusical is no contest for Fame is it? My mum bought me the DVD set of Fame. I haven't had time to watch it yet but TG loves it.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Those worry dolls really must be working. Be careful though or they're up their demands...

Like Suburbia, I wish I live close to you as the thought of lunch by Strawberry Hill sounds fab.

Never had any fancy for High School Music. They seem so sugary sweet. Give me Bruno any day ! ! !

PS Found a website this morning that shows you how to make your very own worry dolls.

So I'm now the proud owner of six dolls who have said they will be very happy to take all my worries from me - and they've even said they won't be that demanding...

am I allowed - through the medium of your blog - to express my utter and complete detestation of BOTH High School bloody Musical AND Fame? No? Ok, won't bother then...

FAME - Im gonna live forever, Im gonna learn how to fly..

So sorry but memories of fame always encourage me to break out in song - but child free nights are even better to sing about.

What a great day and what great luck!

Jenny, I want to say a big THANK YOU for mentioning worry dolls.

I'm a non-believer in good luck charm etc. However as I was worried about my op (all done - you can read about it in my blog), I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.

I told them my worries last night and this morning everything I had been worried about disappeared or never happened.

I've said thank you to them too and they have very kindly agreed not to give me a list of demands.

Hi Sub sweetie, no, i think Chalky's too obvious, i reckon its someone else. And is that Annette setting her sights on recently single Tom?

I wished you lived nearer too. Especially as you have a DVD set of Fame! The night we would have!

Hi MT, yes, it fell into my lap by accident this child free thing. It will happen for you one day. No planning, nothing and then....

Oh come, D, the jam session in the cafeteria, the sexual awakening of Doris Vinsucker, Bruno's jamming in the New York traffic? You can't tell me none of this touched you, eh?

Yes, Troy and all them can get lost , I agree.

Hi Polly, the very mention of Fame and I'm Irene Cara, i know what you mean. Remember my name...there i go again!

Marie, sweetie, so pleased it went well. Will read your blog after supper. And you are so clever - making those creatures. Will try to find that website. But i was naive like you once, thought i was in control of these dolls, thought i called the shots and then one day.........

Seriously, so really pleased for you. And say what you like, those dolls do come up with the goods. xxxxxx

The Thai stir fry sounded delicious. Mmm... cashew nuts - my favourite! Glad you had a good day. I remember the bliss of being without the children for a short while. It's different for me, now of course. Student son is at home until Sunday and Middle son is at home until his leg is better and I'm enjoying the company.

It's the simple pleasures that are indeed the best Jen - that's a great price for the stir fry - oh, and the bit about being child-free for the evening is almost as good

see that Ed the Chinese porn spammer got you too - I wouldn't have thought he'd have got in with word veri
